About Hilo
Hilo means thread in Spanish. At Hilo, we want to be the thread that weaves across boundaries and borders and brings people together meaningfully.
Hilo Consultants Ltd was founded in 2019 with a single mission: to create bridges and conversations between researchers and people interested in or to who research is relevant (patient groups, research communities, wider public, policy actors etc.) We do this using inventive and creative facilitation methods, the arts and media.
We have extensive experience working within the UK and internationally and have worked with funding bodies, academic institutions, civil society organisations and people within the creative sector to deliver positive and sometimes surprising collaborations and outcomes.
